They really didn't know what life was all about.

One day a bundle of joy was sent their way;

A precious little girl, What a joyful day!

A precious child, so perfect and sweet,

Yes, we checked her carefully from head to feet!

A more beautiful baby was not to be had,

This I got straight from her Dad

A pleasure she was as we watched her grow,

When she learned something new, oh, how we would crow!

She was loving and sweet, quite a little mother

When the very next year we gave her a brother!

She helped with his care, and shared all her toys.

Then in the next several years we had two more boys!

She grew to a beautiful young lady, with dreams of her own.

A fine man she married and they made their own home.

Jamie, my daughter, this poem's for you,

We wish you God's blessings in whatever you do.

With love in our hearts we just want to say,

We wish you a very Happy Birthday.
